We’ve put together a short explainer article to clear up a few things and avoid any confusion.
December & August Payments
At Samba Soccer Schools, we have two membership plans: a 12-month plan (36 lessons), and a 6-month plan (18 lessons).
When you sign up for a membership plan, we divide the total cost of your lessons into fixed equal monthly instalments regardless of how many classes take place in a single month. This includes December where there are fewer lessons due to the Christmas break and no lessons in August due to the summer break.
We’ll break this down for you with an example using the 12-month membership plan.
The 12-month plan comes to a total of £479.88 across the full year.
This covers 36 lessons with 12 classes taking place each term over the school academic year (i.e. Autumn, Spring and Summer). Each lesson cost £13.33.
We spread the annual fee (£479.88) into 12 easy payments of £39.99 every month. Rather than paying more during months with more lessons, we split the cost evenly across the year.
Some months such as May and June have four classes – this would add up to £53.32 but we collect £39.99.
Meanwhile August does not have any classes but we still charge £39.99. Here, you are paying for lessons already completed earlier in the year.
This fee remains the same because we spread out payments evenly across the year. This is designed to make instalments affordable and convenient for you.
Our 6-month plan also follows this payment scheme but across half the year instead.
The six-month plan comes to £287.94. This covers 18 lessons at £15.99 each.
Again, we divide this total cost into 6 equal payments of £47.99 each.
This fee does not change each month. Whether you have four sessions or one, the 6-month fee stays at £47.99 every month.
Over the course of your plan, the session numbers even out to match your payment. We structure payments like this so that they are consistent and convenient throughout your plan.
At different times in the year, we run offers on our membership plans. If you’ve received a discounted membership plan, your monthly payments will follow the same pricing model as described above.
Sometimes, when there’s heavy rain, a storm or an unforeseen event, we have no choice but to cancel a class.
We will always try to give you as much notice as we can. If we can, we will let you know the night before via text. But at the latest, we will provide 2 hours notice before class.
In the event a class is cancelled, you will not miss out on your total lessons. Every SSS customer is guaranteed to get exactly the number of classes promised to them.
For example, if there is heavy rain and you miss out on a class, that will be added on as a credit at the end of your membership.
This means when your membership is over, you can use that credit for an extra class to make up for the one that was cancelled.
We will keep track of all your credits for you throughout your membership.
These credits only apply to classes we cancel. These do not apply to missed lessons unless in exceptional circumstances.
