Playing for glory with Samba Soccer FC
Are you looking for competitive football for your child? Think they’ve got what it takes to join one of the most exciting teams around?
We’ve got 13 years’ worth of experience in football coaching, so we thought we’d better put it all to good use. Samba Soccer FC is our very own football club, with Brazilian style running through its veins.
We offer weekly training and fortnightly matches for teams to compete in a FA Youth League 7v7. It’s competitive football but still fun – everybody is welcome to try out, but unfortunately, we can only pick those with exceptional football abilities.

Competition
Our club is the logical next step for the thousands who attend our classes, and Samba Soccer FC allows them to take the football up a level and compete in real competitions. When done correctly, children thrive under competition, but this needs to be matched with lessons on fair play, honesty, and respect that go far beyond the football pitch.
Teamwork
The earlier children learn about teamwork, the better. When playing for Samba Soccer FC, we emphasise the importance of working together towards a shared goal. Good teamwork boosts morale, adds a sense of belonging, and can do wonders for a child’s confidence and social skills.
Social Skills
Those playing for Samba Soccer FC are expected to learn respect, listening skills, sportsmanship, and communication. We emphasise the importance of taking responsibility, even at a young age, so whether we win, lose, or draw, we always do it in a manner that shows respect for our teammates and the opposition.
Development
Samba Soccer FC shares the same football values as all our classes. We want to play with flair and fun, to be expressive and daring. Training once a week and playing a competitive game fortnightly is an excellent way to supercharge that development among players of a similar level while adding decision-making skills that are impossible to practise in non-competitive environments.

Weekly Training Sessions
Training sessions are held weekly throughout the football season (30 sessions in total). Each session lasts an hour and is taken by one of our expert coaches.
Matches
Playing real matches is a crucial part of football development – without it, children are simply practising skills and using them in predetermined drills. Competitive games allow children to put those skills and tactics they learn in their lessons into a real-world environment. Only through these types of situations can children sharpen their decision-making skills while under pressure.
Another significant benefit of playing competitive football is that it helps to instil ideas of winning and losing – and how to approach both with humility and respect. It’s important to teach children early on that success comes from hard work and that hours of diligent work on the training pitch can lead to glory at the weekend.
Samba Soccer FC FAQs
Since Samba Soccer FC is brand new, you’ll probably have a few questions if your child is interested in coming to one of our trial sessions.
We aim to keep costs associated with Samba Soccer FC to a bare minimum, mainly covering administrative fees, coaching and match day costs, and insurance.
This includes a £180 joining fee, a one-off £70 kit fee, and a monthly £49 membership fee.
1. The initial joining fee of £180 covers the following:
- Membership of London County Saturday Youth League
- 18 matchday costs (18 throughout the season priced at £10 each)
- Matchday referee fees
- All required equipment
- Personal accident insurance cover
- Public liability insurance cover
- FA Team affiliation fee
2. The kit fee of £70 covers the following:
- T-shirt
- Shorts
- Pair of socks
- Rain jacket
- Tracksuit joggers
3. The monthly fee of £49 covers the following:
- 36 training sessions through the year (priced at £14.99 each)
- Pitch hire fees
- Coach fees

Unfortunately, places are limited, and we can only offer spots on the team for those who excel in our open trials. Once trials have been held, our coaches will handpick the best 12 players, who will be invited to join Samba Soccer FC.
