Samba Soccer Schools are searching for an experienced football coach to manage our coaching staff and supervise the quality of our football classes.

The role of ‘Head of Coaching’ requires exceptional management and leadership skills as you take on significant responsibility.

What does the role include?

Here is an overview of the six areas our Head of Coaching would oversee and what each would entail:

Quality of Classes

Supervising and maintaining the high standards of coaching at Samba Soccer Schools. This includes ensuring quality control of weekly classes and holiday camps, setting up emergency coaching contingency plans and acting as a hub for coaching enquiries.

Recruitment

Overseeing the hiring process of new coaching staff across multiple venues. This includes managing job adverts, conducting the interviewing process and offering contracts to prospective coaches

coach education

Training

Managing staff training at various stages throughout the year. This includes monitoring and delivering the coach education programme (new staff), refresher courses (half terms) and annual training.

Administration

An ongoing process dealing with rising issues and documenting changes. This includes managing a weekly list of pressing issues, updating registers and staff timesheets, and contacting staff and parents via text/email in the event of a class cancellation.

Technical Syllabus

Ensuring the Samba Soccer Schools coaching content is updated and functional. This includes designing/updating session plans, managing the skills app and updating skills tutorial videos.

Safety

Our Head of Coaching will act as our safeguarding lead and will be responsible for updating and maintaining our company policies.

Requirements

This is a senior full-time position at Samba Soccer Schools. If you’re interested in the role and meet the below criteria, we would love to hear from you!


Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum FA Level 2 in coaching football
  • Playing experience
  • Football coaching experience (essential)
  • Previous experience working in a similar capacity
  • Leadership/Management experience
  • Access to a personal vehicle
  • Proficient user of Excel and Word

  • Start Date: November/December 2021
  • Hours:
    Sat & Sun: 9am-5pm
    Mon, Tues & Thurs: 9am-6pm
    (40 hours per week)
  • Salary: £18-20k (Experience dependent)
